The Tozai Line (東西線, Tōzai-sen) is a rapid transit line in Limaru, operated jointly by Lipan Railways and Emmaru Railways. Its name literally means East-West Line. The line runs between Land's End in Lipan, Limaru and Shinkura in Chiatung, Limaru. On maps, diagrams and signboards, the Tozai Line is shown using the colour "aquamarine" and its stations are given numbers with the prefix "EW".
Overview
The Tozai Line features through services on both ends. Trains run through onto the YJJ City Metro's East-West Line for West Bay at the western (Land's End) end, and onto the Chuo Main Line for Inala International at the eastern (Bwlch Llywelyn[1]) end. The line itself also has a looping branch from Legacy Road station to Mount Vernon station, which further splits to serve Zaigon station in Central, Limaru.
Services
The Tozai Line is one of the few lines which express services run: some trains skip Municipal District, Highgate, Seven Sisters, Evertopia, Sakae, and Sakauji stations. It is also one of the two lines to run over the Strait of Limaru, the other being the Emmaru Line.
Through services to YJJ City and Inala International run all day. Trains arrive at any station on an average of 4 minutes per train, with local-only stations and stations from Bartley Gate to Land's End having a slightly lower frequency.
Stations
Trains stop at stations marked "●", do not stop at those marked "|", and do not pass through those marked "-". Westbound trains do not stop at stations marked "↓". Some trains stop at stations marked "X".
