Platforms
There are 10 platforms total at Flower Hill numbered from 1 to 10, with 1 being the northernmost platform and 10 being the southernmost platform. These platforms can be divided into 3 distinct operating groups: Long Distance (platforms 1-4), Suburban (platforms 5-8) and Loop (platforms 9-10).
Long Distance Platforms
These platforms consist of platforms 1 to 4, all of which are 123 meter long (40 SLU) terminating platforms located under the station building. These platforms which serve all terminating long distance trains from the Pelle Mainline are the only platforms with locomotive release loops at this station.
Suburban Platforms
These platforms consist of platforms 5 to 8 located in the center of the station, all being 81 meters in length (20 SLU) . These platforms currently serve suburban local and express services from the Tokaido Line, the Quay Line, and through running services. Before the opening of the Emmaru Subway in the 1980s, these platforms served most terminating suburban services along the Pelle Mainline.
Loop Platforms
These platforms consist of platforms 9 to 10 located on the southern most end of the station, each of which are 92 meters in length (23 SLU). These platforms currently serve suburban Quay Line and Tozai Line trains travelling via the Shiodome Loop and occasional diverted mainline trains during track works on the Parkston Bay Rail Bridge.
