YJJ City, officially the Republic of YJJ City, is a sovereign island city-state in Limaru. It is located west of mainland Limaru, and north of Losning. The country's territory is composed of the majority of one big island, with a few other smaller islands which are mostly uninhabited.

The spawn of the server was relocated from the previous spawn at Downtown Limaru to Sun Moon Lake in YJJ City in 2021.

Although its history stretches back to around 2015, modern YJJ City was founded in 2019 by YJJcoolcool, and the landmass on which YJJ City sits was created in 2020.

Geography

YJJ City is located on a large circular island, around 2.5km (or 2,500 blocks) in diameter. The island is primarily comprised of plains, with a large lake in the centre of the island - Sun Moon Lake. The largest river on the island - Eon River - begins at Sun Moon Lake and flows eastwards towards the sea. Towards the west of Sun Moon Lake, there is a mountain range that contains a smaller lake. Around the island, there are a few hills that mostly dot the coastline. The highest point on the island is a mountain at Sun Moon Lake, which stands at 181m above sea level. New Foxtown is a small island located to the north-west of the island, which contained the town of New Foxtown before it was abandoned in 2022.

YJJ City Island is connected to Mainland Limaru via the YJJ City - Mainland Limaru Bridge, located on the east side of the island, and to Losning via the YJJ City - Losning Bridge, located on the south side of the island.

Landmarks & Notable Locations

YJJ City is mostly known for Sun Moon Lake, which is a large lake located at the centre of the island. Many important buildings are located near or along the banks of Sun Moon Lake, such as the Spawn, Cable Car Centre, Parliament Building, and Solutional Park. Other notable landmarks and locations on the island include:

  • Mount Lipan, the tallest mountain in YJJ City, located on the south-eastern side of the island.
  • Sea's End, where the bridge linking Limaru and YJJ City is located.
  • Cultural Centre (formerly known as Five Roads Intersection), where a large concert hall and major terminal station of YJJ City is located.

Transportation Infrastructure

Rail Transport

YJJ City currently has 3 main metro lines in operation, the Lake Loop Line, North-South Line and East-West Line. The Lake Loop Line is a completed loop with 6 stations, while the North-South and East-West Lines are undergoing planning and construction for their extension to the North and West of the island respectively. A new Island Loop Line is being planned which will go around the circumference of the island. All the metro lines are operated and owned by YJJ City Metro, with the East-West Line being co-owned by Entetsu Railway Company.

Other rail services connect YJJ City to other parts of Limaru. To the east, the East-West Line is a continuous service that runs together with the Limaru Tozai Line, connecting YJJ City to mainland Limaru. To the south, the Losning Gateway Express is a monorail service that connects YJJ City to Losning. The Ocean Express is a high-speed rail line currently under construction and operated by FRS, which relocated its Newton terminus to a new station near Chiaki station along the North-South Line.

Several rail projects were planned throughout the island but were later scrapped by their respective owners. Such projects include the 2 metro lines that were meant to serve New Foxtown - the Western Loop Line and Southern Bridge Line - and a light rail system at South Point.

Bus Transport

YJJ City does not have any local bus operators and all bus operators are headquartered in mainland Limaru. YJJ City currently has a few bus stops scattered around the island, but has plans to build more in the near future.

Road Infrastructure

YJJ City has a road system which is currently concentrated towards the center of the island. The current road system connects the central areas of Sun Moon Lake and Solutional Park to other areas of the island, as well as the bridges that connect YJJ City to Mainland Limaru and Losning. The road network also consists of a partially completed highway to the north, which connects to the Mainland Limaru - YJJ City Bridge, and an under-construction highway to the east, which will connect to the YJJ City - Losning Bridge.

Roads in YJJ City have formerly consisted of mainly straight 90-degree roads and intersections, but has since extensively used curves and slopes in their design. Roads are built to a standard 3-metre width, with a 1-metre lane marking at the sides of each lane.

Pedestrian and Cycling Infrastructure

Similar to the road network, YJJ City also has a pedestrian and cycling infrastructure network concentrated towards the center of the island. Most pedestrian and cycling paths run alongside existing roads, but there are also several hiking/cycling trails around the island.
